Male 22. when sat down my bp 119/64 hr 74. stood up immediately was 140/66 hr 91. took it still stood up 3 minutes later 120/67 hr 94. why the big jump?

Normal: Notice that the 1st and 3rd measurements are essentially identical (which is normal). The second one is also very healthy. It shows that by standing up, your nervous system reacted instantly and signaled your heart to increase cardiac output as needed to overcome gravity. A more common result would be for the BP to drop when standing. A 10 point drop is normal. >10 pts can be a problem.
