Other possibilities: Other mineral problems can cause muscle cramps, not just low potassium. Have a full blood panel done including magnesium levels. Some medications can cause muscle cramps as a side effect; for example, statin medications to lower cholesterol can do this. There can be other disorders of the muscles themselves, inflammatory conditions, even low thyroid may cause your symptoms. See your doctor soon.
