A member asked:

Is it ok to put 2 teaspoons of lactose sol 10/15 ml xvi in my 7mnth old's baby bottle 2x a day instead of giving it to him by mouth mouth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lactulose for baby?: Lactulose (i think this is what you meant) is used in specific cases, mostly for hepatic encephalopathy but also for difficult-to-treat constipation. I would assume this is a pediatrician-prescribed medication and therefore you would have gotten good advice on dosing. As far as the bible on drugs (the pdr) there is no problem diluting with water, juice or milk. Check with your doc to be sure.
