Yes: Anybody who drinks a bottle of wine daily needs help, but it is especially true for a diabetic. Alcohol has many effects on blood sugars, mostly that increase sugars. The excess calories contribute to weight gain. The risk of liver and heart disease also increases significantly. He needs to stop drinking alcohol.
