Diamox (acetazolamide): Diamox (acetazolamide) is the standard oral medication to reduce the production of csf, and reduce the headache. It is vitally important to obtain a visual field exam, and to have follow-up exams on a regular basis. This is the best way to follow the effect of the increased intracranial pressure on your optic nerves. Unchecked increased icp will eventually lead to blindness, visual field testing is mandatory!
