Ramsay Hunt: Ramsay hunt syndrome is an acute peripheral facial neuropathy associated with erythematous vesicular rash of the skin of the ear canal and ear. It is usually quite painful due to the neuritis. It is usually due to the herpes zoster virus and can be treated with anti-viral medications and a medication for the pain.
