Is it possible i could drown in air?

Odd question: But, technically yes. Drowning usually kills by asphyxiation - a lack of oxygen to vital organs. So technically, if you were breathing air with very little oxygen (like on a plane that lost it's oxygen supply while flying) it's possible. But...Pretty unlikely.

Air is essential: You need air to live. A fish "drowns" in air. There are circumstances in which the oxygen is out of the air such as a closed garage with a motor runnjng (carbon monoxide poisoning) or for instance volcanic craters in which gas from the fumarole displaces the air. Luckily we mostly have normal, livable air around us.
