Yes!: It makes a very big difference. It's much better to start treatment early, before much damage has been done to your immune system. You're more likely to end up with a nearly normal immune system if you start early, and you may live longer with fewer complications. In addition, you're much less likely to transmit HIV to others if your viral load is suppressed on therapy.
