Parotitis: The commonest symptom is painful swelling or the parotid glad and fever. Mumps can be sub-clinical, i.e., infection may not cause any symptoms.

Mumps sxs: Mumps may not cause any symptoms. When symptomatic mumps can cause swollen parotid glands (which can give a chipmunk appearance), fever, headache, v appetite, fatigue, pain with swallowing. ****rare complications could include testicular inflammation, pancreatitis, encephalitis, meningitis, hearing loss, mastitis & oophoritis.
