Usually not unless: Circumcised. Most common cause of balanitis is a tight foreskin & inadequaate penile hygiene. But std can cause balanitis in both circumcised & uncircumcised men. Can have infectious & non infectious causes. Can be caused by skin conditions like dermatitis, psoriasis or eczema or skin irritants like detergent residue, perfumed soap or latex allergy etc.
