A member asked:

Diphtheria inoculation? same cut as before, why is diphtheria needed too and will a low fever effect their wanted results? im one of thousands there.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vaccination: Diphtheria and other infectious diseases are rare because we protected the population of the usa against them. We benefit both as individual recipients as from herd immunity derived from the vaccination of others. Diseases like this appear rapidly in groups who, for their own reasons, refuse to participate. Low grade fevers should not effect the immune reaction to diphtheria toxoid.
