A member asked:

What does a plastic surgeon call a mini-lift? or, is it rare that they perform it at all. what areas of the face does it work on to try to improve?

Pick a good surgeon: Discuss with your surgeon what you want to accomplish with surgery and what your concerns are. If you find a surgeon who is board certified in plastic surgery, has good experience with facelift, and you trust them after meeting them, then your facelift can accomplish the natural results you are looking for. Don't rely on the name of the surgery to pick how you get rejuvenation.

A mini-facelift....: Is for people that just have a little laxity in the upper cheek area. No loose neck, no major jowling or deep nasolabial folds, as these need a full facelift for correction.
