A member asked:

I've been on a reduced carb diet for reactive hypoglycemia for a few years but now more hypo episodes, is there any medicines that can help?non diabetic

A doctor has provided 1 answer

For the management of frequent episodes of nondiabetic reactive hypoglycemia, sometimes a prediabetic conition is present and taking metformin may help. Metformin, on its own, doesn't cause hypoglycemia but is helpful in prediabetes. Eating only small portions of nonconcentrated carbs other healthy foods & fiber often instead of a large meal, regular exercise, maintaining ideal weight may help
