More data needed: Despite the medications she is on perhaps her asthma still is not under control and she is having difficulty breathing at night. This can cause difficulty sleeping. Hopefully she does not smoke anything or do anything else. I thing you know what i mean. Their are many medical as well as psychological causes of insomnia. She should see her family dr. As a start.
