See below: You could use one of those at home ear wax removal kits to flush it out, but an ENT dr could see whether a bug is in his ear or not and extract it in his or her office.

ER: My wife had this. In the er they put xylocain in the ear & it kills the bug& it is easily removed by the er doc.
