Hypothyroidism: Excellent question! there are several recent studies suggesting better results if you take levothyroxine at night, presumably on an empty stomach. Check out http://www.Drugs.Com/levothyroxine.Html which recommends taking on empty stomach (although states ok 30min before breakfast). Always ask your doc & tell him/her what you want to do. Then check TSH 6wks after change. Repeat TSH in another 6wks.
