How many floaters are considered normal.

Time: Most symptoms from floaters will diminish to a tolerable level with time. Patients will notice them in certain lighting situations or activities. Flashes indicate traction on retina or a possible tear. Worsening flashes and/or floaters could indicate a retinal tear or detachment. Surgery is only indicated if floaters are severely diminishing your ability to perform activities of daily living.

Numbers are not: What you need to be concerned with the health of your eyes. See an eye doctor. Vision is so important that you don't want to mess around with counting angels on pins. Best of luck - it may be no big deal, but look into it.
