Pregnancy symptoms: Many of the symptoms of breast tenderness and swelling results from the level of pregnancy hormone. This hormone level drops around this time and is less later in the pregnancy. An ultrasound will confirm the pregnancy and let you know how things are going. If you start bleeding or having more discharge, you should talk to your doctor.

Yes: Breast tenderness will wax and wane throughout your pregnancy. This corresponds to hormonal changes (fibrocystic breast changes).
