Medicating family: Wow. Please read this very carefully. Your aunt's doctor should be deciding what medication or other treatments are best for her. There are over 100 different choices to choose from and they carry some significant side effects. A trained expert who knows the full health history of your aunt should be deciding this treatment choice. This is very serious.

Are you qualified?: Do you feel qualified to prescribe medication for your aunt, when you have to ask physicians on healthtap whether there are any drugs for "antihypertension"? You might find medications on the internet -- and some of it may resemble the named contents. But do you feel qualified to deal with heart attacks, strokes, and other potential problems? If not, encourage your aunt to work with her doctor.
