What foods or herbs can make people lactate?

Fenugreek: There have been a number of herbs, spices and foods used traditionally to stimulate milk production, including asparagus, milk thistle, brewer's yeast, and alfalfa. But fenugreek is probably the most used and has the best evidence supporting it. Working with a lactation consultant is my favorite way to increase milk supply.

Breast Milk Supply: Many herbs are reported to aid in lactation. Fenugreek and blessed thistle are mentioned more frequently than others which include milk thistle, fennel, alfalfa, oats, and marshmallow root. How they work to stimulate milk production is not clear. http://www.getrealforkids.com/resources/real-food/pregnancy-babies/2637-increasing-your-breast-milk-supply#.
