See a dermatologist: You need a precise diagnosis. Hidradenitis suppuritiva is one possible condition. Management will be best with a skin specialist.

Not true : You will not have to live with this for the test of your life. At least not until you have seen an internist, dermatologist, immunologist, and infectious disease specialist. I agree that these can be extremely hard to treat and become frustrating for both the doctor and the patient. You just have to keep searching, and hopefully not far.
