What is gastroparesis? and its symptoms? i've heard that some pppl have to go on a feeding tube for it, is it that bad?

PoorStomachEmptying: Gastroparesis is a functional disorder of the stomach which causes the stomach to empty poorly. This leads to painful distention of the stomach and vomiting of undigested food. Initial rx is with medication. If this is unsuccessful, a nerve stimulator can be implanted in the stomach wall. If this fails, a feeding tube is (rarely) used to provide nutrition downstream from the stomach.

Stomach Paralysis: Gastroparesis refers to the stomach having a decreased ability to empty itself. You can get bloating, nausea, low blood sugar (among diabetics), & weight loss without trying. This happens most commonly amongst people with diabetes. There are other rare causes like rotavirus.
