A member asked:

Daughter with gastroparesis has j-mic-key feeding tube, it sucks it and releases. tube gets twisted internally and kinks. any ideas why?

Ask the G.I. doctor: The G.I. Doctor surely has many patients using g-tubes. He may consider changing the tube, if the current one keeps kinking. Also, parents should review with the doctor what is permitted or not permitted with their child's specific tube. With some tubes, parents are asked not to suck stomach material back through it.
