Tough to treat: Unfortunately, nail fungus is hard to get rid of. There are many topicals and otc remedies, but they do not often work. The best treatment is with oral antifungal meds - which can have systemic effects. Citrus seed extract & caprylic acid have some antifungal properties with perhaps fewer side effects. Treating sugar issues, intestinal flora imbalance, and vascular issues may help as well.

Yes: Yes with laser, topical and steri show type treatment can almost certainly rule out any systemic risks. But you can never guarantee that to any patient.

Vick's vapo rub: It probably will not cure it but it probably will help a good bit apply a liberal amount to nails 2x/day and see how it works it is cheap and i know of no negative side effects I have recommended this for pts for many years.

Have them evaluated.: There are topical antifungal medications available for the treatment of nail fungus. Specialized lasers are also now available for treatment of fungal nail infections. Have your nails evaluated and get the appropriate treatment.
