Neither: Gerd or acid reflux disease results in irritation of the lower aspect of the esophagus resulting in changes in the lining (barrett's), some having scarring and difficulty swallowing, lung problems, and abdominal pain. Digestion should not be affected, and there should be no reason to take any enzymes unless you have other problems such as with your pancreas.
