Needs to be seen: What you describe could be many things and there is no way to know what it is or tell you whether or not it requires treatment without actually seeing it clinically in person. I recommend that you see your general dentist, oral surgeon or ENT specialist for an accurate diagnosis.

Get checked: Any lesion that has been present for over 2 weeks should have a medical professional check. Sometimes a biopsy is the only way to diagnose the lesion. May be something as benign as geographic tongue but must be checked.
