Unlikey: In the area u describe unlikely to be a hernia. Especially if goes away as you describe.

Doubtful: Unless you have had an incision at that location for something in the past, it is extremely unlikely to be a hernia. More likely to be a muscle spasm (charlie horse) that you feel as a lump when the muscle is is spasm. See your primary care doctor for an exam if it persists.
