Yes, I did: I was able to impress my surgeon with how quickly healing went. First, if you smoke - quit for as long as possible ahead of surgery and until you are healed (maybe forever?). Then, vitamin c and lots of leafy dark green veggies. There are many web sites with ideas. Here's a start: http://www.Preparingforyoursurgery.Org/before_surgery/nutrition_sidebar.Html good luck!

Timing: You fractured your ankle and you are scheduled for surgery....Soon. If you are otherwise healthy and have a well rounded died, I have not found that the body places great demands for an orif of an ankle fracture. You did not divulge your age or sex...If you happen to be female post menopausal or post hysterectomy, calcium and vit d may be indicated. Good luck.
