Needs a recheck: Your daughter might have a secondary bacterial skin infection. This can happen when the skin is irritated by chafing and yeast infections. Important to have her rechecked as soon as possible.

Yes: This may be a yeast rash. See your doctor if lotrimin (clotrimazole) is not helping. You can also try to keep the area clean and dry. If possible, letting your daughter spend time without a diaper on will help dry up the area and may speed healing.
