Do U mean stimulants: There are several types of medications used to treat adhd. I assume that you are asking about stimulants. When given to someone who has adhd/add, stimulants have a paradoxical calming effect. They help the person to think more clearly, be able to complete tasks with less distraction and overall feel more organized. They can also have the side effect of decreasing appetite.

ADHD Meds: Can feel "trumped" up and kind of unusually alert. Focused. Sometimes overly energetic in a way that makes people feel anxious. Hope that helps.

More focused: Your ability to concentrate is increased, and you are not as distracted. However, you may also be more jittery and anxious as well. They will work immediately rather than start working over 2-3 weeks like antidepressants.
