Minimal symptoms: Chlamydia can be a silent disease. There may be no symptoms at all for many months. The best way to make the diagnosis is by doing a PCR test for chlamydia at routine exams or whenever an exposure may have occurred due to sex without condoms. Treatment with Azithromycin or Doxycycline is generally effective.
