Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine): Amphetamines have been used therapeutically for over 50 years. When prescribed by a physician who monitors the effects carefully there is little risk of long term negative effects. However, when abused or combined with inappropriate drugs, and used in excessive amounts, damage can occur.
