How can it take acyclovir 400mg to get out of your system?

Half life : Is 3 hours. Meaning that after three hours will will have 200mg remaining in you system, after a dose age of 400mg. So for subtherapeutic levels 1-2 half lives or 3-6 hours. To get out of you system completely 7-8 half lives or 21 to24 hours.
