LPR: Laryngopharyngeal reflux (lpr) causes burning of the throat. You start with dietary change. Reduce or eliminate foods that are spicy, greasy, carbonated, alcohol, caffeine, tomato, citrus, chocolate and mints. Also, pharmaceutical treatment options including antacids, h2 blockers (like zantac, (ranitidine) tagamet, axid) or proton-pump inhibitors. It is advisable to have this checked to make sure that's it.
