LPR: When patients are diagnosed with this laryngopharyngeal reflux (lpr), they are usually prescribed medicines for it. The medicine group that i prescribe most often are proton pump inhibitors and they are quite effective. However, beyond meds, i also review dietary changes that can help. Reduce or eliminate alcohol, caffeine, carbonation, tomato, citrus, spicy, greasy, chocolate, and mints.
