Do you think i should stop smoking cigarettes if i have achalasia?

Smoking: You should stop smoking if you are alive.

Yes: You should stop smoking, but not because you have achalasia. Imagine if you went into an office, and there was a sign on the wall stating "wet paint", and that the fumes from the paint are known to cause cancer. You might think twice about going in to the office at all, let alone breathing the fumes. Smoking not only causes lung cancer, but a host of other cancers, along with emphysema, etc.
