Loss of hormones: One may lose control of thyroid & adrenal function. One may no longer secrete antidiuretic hormone with resultant diabetes insipidus. One may stop secreting growth hormone and if a male hormones that stimulate the production of testosterone.These hormones all contribute to organism homeostasis & metabolism. Medical treatment can compensate for their loss.
