Burning sensation: Pepper spray(capsaicin spray) is a lacrimator. It causes inflammation of mucous membranes of eyes, nose, throat & lungs & causes eyes to burn & close (often with temporary blindness), nasal congestion, coughing, pain and difficulty breathing.
