is there a good way for me to help out my step-dad with his type 1 diabetes?

1 doctor answer
Dr. David Chandler
32 years experience Ophthalmology
Encouragement: Especially with type 1 diabetes, it is important to follow all of the doctor's instructions about using medication, following diet, checking blood sugar, and keeping appointments. Helping out in any of these areas would be very useful, including making healthy dietary and lifestyle choices, helping him to keep appointments, and being aware of symptoms of low as well as high blood sugar.
