My mum recently developed very itchy soles and feet. there is no rash. no other symptoms. she is 73 yrs old. what could cause this?

Different things: Extreme dryness, fungal infection and diabetic neuropathy could cause itching. Emolient or lubricating lotions or antifungal creams or anti neuropathic medications may help depending on the etiology.
