Neck pain: Muscle spasm is a symptom of an overactive fight or flight system that is usually what we call stress. I suggest you look for modalities to decrease stress: meditation, yoga, acupuncture, massage, rolfing, feldenkrais. Consider seeing a chiropractor, too. Besides my work, consider seeing a therapist for talk therapy.

Absolutely!: If you have been diagnosed with TMJ syndrome, yes, it can cause headaches and neck stiffness/pain. Get yourself evaluated by a dentist for eval and tretament.

Vague: Certainly need a lot more info. Could be due to trauma/whiplash injuries, tmj/tmd, posture, heredity, etc. Duration, intensity, location. Keep a pain diary if you can and document your headaches see a doctor.

Perhaps: Could be TMJ and/or stress related See TMJ expert for evaluation. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
