MANY causes: A 2 week period is abnormal and is usually caused by 'hormonal imbalances' . However, many uterine abnormalities may be the cause, including : uterine polyps, fibroids, adenomyosis and uterus cancer. So it best to get checked out by your gynecologist. You may need an biopsy. The treatment may include 'hormones/birth control pills' or a procedure 'hysteroscopy' and/or D&C (scraping of utrerus).
