Six Steps: Eat well: whole grains, half your plate with fruits & veggies, lean meat or nuts/beans, drink 6-10 glasses of water. Get moving 30-60 minutes every day. Sleep well. During sick season, wash your hands. Balance work/play [easy to say, hard to do!]. Make friends.

Wash your hands: By far the best thing that you can do to prevent getting sick easily is washing your hands. General health practices like this are often overlooked but can make a major difference. This is especially true during seasons where a lot of your friends or coworkers may be sick. A flu vaccine can also be a great way to stay healthy during flu season and is strongly recommended.
