Pityriasis rosea PR: Infection presumed viral/viral like particle w/either no presenting symptoms or w ha/malaise/sore throat followed days-wks later by crops of salmon colored patches in a 'christmas tree pattern' on the back and spreading out to the body. Most cases clear in 4-6 wks but some can persist several months. Many things mimic it (2ndary syphilis, acute hiv, psoriasis, tinea, eczema) if persists see a doc.

Hmmm: Pityriasis rosea is not associated with any of those symptoms. It is simply a rash that appears (we don't know why) and is occasionally a little itchy and resolves itself within 4-8 weeks usually. The other symptoms must be coming from some other condition.
