A member asked:

Does gerd or stomach inflammation cause weight loss?

Certainly can: If your gerd causes you to alter your feeding habits ( most do) & that results in a decline in your baseline caloric intake, you are likely to loose some weight. If you maintain your normal total calory intake and your gerd decreases your activity or exercise you may gain weight.

It can: It can but I would not assume that. If you have stomach pain and weight loss you should be checked by a GI doctor.
