Anal fissure: Anal fissures cause pain and bleed with bowel movements. Odor and drainage, while possible, are more common with hemorrhoids. An exam under anesthesia (due to the pain issue) will be a benefit as your surgeon will be able to repair the fissure and hemorrhoids at the same time. Okay to get in for a surgery consult.
