Irregular cycles: Birth control pills are often used to regulate cycles. If this is the case you may not regulate. More likely though, you are in the peri menopausal period and may space your periods as you get to menopause. Menopause is defined as more than a year without periods. The time leading up to this is marked by irregular cycles. Hope this helps.
