Does geodon (ziprasidone) or cogentin cause acne? think cogentin erupted many pimples

Yes: Geodon (ziprasidone) frequently, Cogentin occasionally. Usually not severe. Acne is very common for other reasons, so change of med may not improve the acne. Do not stop your meds before you consult your therapist. A dermatol;ogist can help clear the acne.

Medications and acne: Many drugs increase the likelihood of getting acne. There is urban legend about Geodon (ziprasidone) causing acne. A retrospective study from the years 2004-2013 was published on jun, 20, 2013: 13, 669 people reported to have side effects when taking geodon (ziprasidone). Among them, 19 people (0.14%) have acne. That is, 19 of 13, 669 who had any side effects from Geodon (ziprasidone) reported acne. Not a statistically significant finding.
