A member asked:

Have had movement &gi problems for 1 yr recent lumbar spine mri came back with what looks like viscera being strangled btw psoas muscle & vertebrae?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See your doctor: The psoas is attached to the vertebrae (bones of the low back), so it is hard to imagine viscera (internal organs) getting trapped between this muscle and the spinal bones. Call or see your doctor for a better explanation of the lumbar spine mri. If the ordering doctor does not read mris, she or he may need to talk to the radiologist.
