Maybe: From your description you probably did not break the bone, but you may have bruised it or the tissue over it (periosteum) or the tissues under the skin. The bleeding from this could cause a lump. The body will try to heal this, but it takes a long time. If the pain is not improving or bothersome, see your primary doctor.

Very likely: You either have a fracture that hasn't healed or a really bad bone contusion. Get an x-ray to see.
